In Memory of Ellen
On
August 17, we Sisters of the Holy Cross lost one of our strongest, most
patient, and most persistent voices
for social justice and peace: Ellen Dolores Lynch.
As noted in a recent issue of the HCIJO newsletter Perspectives,
Ellen was a “revered” member of the Congregation Justice
Committee – a woman who challenged, prodded, and mentored all of us in
our work for justice. We will
miss her deeply.
Ellen’s
wake and funeral were a true celebration of her life and work among us.
To enable the rest of the Congregation to share somehow in that
experience, we have gathered some key
texts here for your prayer, reflection, and remembering.
